With Kalamaki/Alimos Marina as a starting point, give in to Greek island-hopping, only a wind’s blow away from Athens. The Saronic islands are family-friendly yet cosmopolitan destinations, where one can feel the essence of the nobility of a past era while also having the chance to experience the ambience of a traditional fishing village!

Poros
Located 35,5 nautical miles from Piraeus port with only a narrow passage of water separating it from the Peloponnese town of Galatas, Poros is a verdant volcanic island consisting of two smaller islets. The two islets, Kalavria and Sfera are connected by a canal for small boats and rejoined by a bridge.
As you approach with your chartered sailing boat, witness the scenic town perched on the hills, reflecting its unique charm all the way to the turquoise waters of the Argosaronic Sea.
When sailing from Poros to Hydra, you will come across Tselevinia islets, featuring an old castle and a remote beach of unique beauty.

Aegina
A popular spot on every sailing itinerary, wonderfully scenic and mind-travelling. Maintaining its traditional colour with blue-domed churches, tiny houses, cobblestone alleys and walls covered with bougainvilleas, Aegina calls for great walks in relaxed ambience and unforgettable dining experiences with the freshest of fish. Knotty Boats can be your Aegina boat charter service and help you experience a great sailing trip.
Do not miss the chance to sail to the nearby Moni islet, a verdant green getaway situated opposite of Perdika village.

Dokos
Dokos is a small island of the Saronic Gulf, between Hydra, Spetses and the coast of Ermioni in the Peloponnese.
Many archaeological excavations have taken place on Dokos, as apparently, the island was an important port in the ancient times.

Agistri
Located approximately 22 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus, the smallest of the Saronic Islands, is a call to charm. Agistri is blessed with coasts embraced by lush greenery and gently kissed by deep blue waters.
This tiny island of 11,7 square km and only 1.142 inhabitants, allows for endless hours of relaxation and bathing in the sun, in pristine beaches accessible only by sailboat. You can also opt for scuba diving on the west coast where you can discover ancient relics from the prehistoric era, hiking among dense pine tree forests and losing oneself in the beautiful landscape.

Hydra
Remember the scene from a famous classic movie where Sophia Loren picks sponges on a picturesque Greek island? The movie is called “Boy on a dolphin” and it was shot on the beautiful island of Hydra. So picturesque, noble and cosmopolitan, this island has served not only as a cinematic backdrop for many movies, but it has also inspired great painters such as Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall. It is a mystic destination where a steep and rocky scenery is combined with graceful, bright-coloured, renovated mansions. A rich historic and cultural past is reflected in every corner and amazing pebbly beaches and magical seabeds adorn the island. Explore Hydra by boat and experience its long nautical tradition as it still hosts two annual regattas that mark the beginning and end of the racing season; in March and October respectively.

Spetses
Although it is the westernmost of the Saronic islands, Spetses is the most cosmopolitan one and it is well worth the sail. In Spetses, a boat charter is easy and it will allow you to enjoy and explore this beautiful island to the fullest. Drop anchor in the Old Harbour and let the essence of a past era overwhelm you with the old captains mansions. Cobblestone paths, verdurous scenery with deep-shaded pinewoods, beaches with crystal clear waters, mansions of unique architecture, the traditional horse carriages and the absence of cars, create an atmosphere of relaxation and finesse. The island is a high-end, luxury destination not to be missed.
